I caught some of the Britney Spears concert from Las Vegas recorded from last year. For one song Britney danced in time with a video of herself shown on a high resolution screen.

A really neat, but simple effect. I’m sure more VR stuff could be done this way, without worrying about real 3D, the approach IMAX cinemas have taken.
