It’s Dad’s 50th birthday today and as we’re still in the middle of the heatwave it was BBQ time.
In a world full of candles, soft furnishing and comfy chairs, it’s nice to see some 60’s space aged design still around courtesy of Zoggs Aqua Max goggles. My last pair (Speedo) finally gave up on Saturday after a year and a half’s service - a long time for goggles. After two outings the Zoggs are looking pretty good so far.
Another sunny afternoon, walking to the sound of my favourite tune. Another week and Its still a warm 26 degrees here in Winchester.
I’ve been really slack in updating my Blog for the last couple of weeks. One of the main reasons for this is that I’ve been busy setting up another one for the team I work in. The idea is that it is a community based Blog with the whole department (hopefully) contributing to it.
Unfortunately its only available inside IBM firewalls, but anyone who can do, please have a look at the technology and e-solutions community site and let me know what you think. No doubt you’ll spot some similarities with this site in terms of design!

Xaraya is relatively new (still Beta) open source project designed to help you build community sites. So far I’ve been really impressed with it, its quite simple to get a site running which has similar functionality to slashdot
Best of all its really easy to install and configure and as its all done in php it’ll run on apache with mysql.
