Apples and Blogs

Looks like Apple are changing their logo (an apple with a bite taken out) to a swanky new chrome effect one. Wired thinks it may just be for use in software. Although the new one does look good, I wish companies wouldn’t change their logos.

Thanks again to jez for another useful link to a Computer Weekly article on how blogs can be valuable to business. I really think there is something in this idea and that they will be used more and more within industry. Its already thought that Google are using them to aid innovation within their development community.

Whiteboard Art

Back in little computer company’s Hursley lab today and having fun with whiteboard art. So far managed to do Tinkerbell and Kim Possible (with a few additions by Ian). UML or architecture diagrams? Nah, way too dull! I’d like to do Hed Kandi album cover style one, but I don’t think my drawing is really up to it. We’re open to any suggestions for the next whiteboard masterpiece.

CV

Spent the today working in London, though on the train home (whilst listening to more Hed Kandi) I did manage to update my CV at last. I decided to be brave and go for something a little bit different for the front page (another ljc idea), then cowardly reverted back to traditional mode for the rest.

Back To Love

Spent the day listening to the Back to Love Vol.1 album at work. It’s easy to forget how good it is. Its full of classics like, "Sunshine on a Rainy Day", "Let the Beat Hit ‘Em" and "Going Back to My Roots". I’m Going to put the other volumes on my shopping list.

The CDs always have great artwork on too, worth buying for that alone. Check out Hed Kandi Records for the full catalogue and album covers.

Pose, While There’s Still Time

My favourite billboard advert for a long time is the new fcuk one. The tag line says, "Birth. Death. Marriage Dishwasher. Pose, while there’s still time". Very cool.

Portsmouth 1-2 Blackburn

I went to Fratton Park today to see Blackburn win. Blackburn played well in the first half but were hanging on in the second. Pleased to see Lucas Neil play well and a good 3 points. Full report from the BBC.
