I went to watch Aston Villa play Liverpool today, in Birmingham (Liverpool won, 2-0). It’s the first time I’ve been to a football match and sat in a private box, rather than in the crowd. I did feel weird to be sat having a meal where you could look through the window and see the players warming up. It’s also the first time I’ve ever had to dress smart for a football match. We sat outside for the game, so you still got the atmosphere, but it wasn’t the same as being part of the real crowd. I think I know where I belong.

I was looking around for some new music today, I was in the mood for something different and I came across The Go Team. I’d heard their name before, but didn’t know what they were like. They sound really different to most of the stuff out at the moment and I really like them. So much that I just downloaded their album, Thunder, Lightening, Strike from iTunes. They’re the best thing I’ve heard for ages, I love this record.

I was very kindly given some Magnetix yesterday. They’re very cool, you can construct all kinds of stuff from them. Just make sure you don’t go too close to a TV screen with them, the magnets are pretty strong. Look at the warning that comes with them, just to make sure you don’t open the box the wrong way.
