I spent the holiday weekend in Blackpool, for the annual family get together. We always stay in The Cliffs Hotel. It’s all a bit Phoenix Nights sometimes, but it’s fun and as my mum says, “the food’s good”. One of the things we always laugh at there is that they go absolutely mad on signs. Every flat surface seems to have a sign indicating a rule or something that you should do. You could easily spend the whole weekend reading the signs.

On arriving, I checked in, got my key went in the lift and saw this.

There’s so many things wrong with this. What atmospheric conditions are blocking ITV? It was raining, but then it normally is in the North West. Anyway, East Enders isn’t even on that channel, it’s on BBC 1. Still, nice for them to show it on a big screen for all the people who can’t manage a night without their favourite soap.
