I don’t think this band are even around any more, but I just came across their Cartwheels track and I love it. It’s still here if you have iTunes. I’m going to listen to this for the rest of the day… until the football starts anyway.

I’ve always known you were a man of excellent musical taste.
I love everything about the Reindeer Section. If you have not heard the whole thing, I will bring their incredible ‘Son of Evil Reindeer’ album in tomorrow. It’s so beautiful it’s known to make a grown man cry. Every track is a winner; although Cartwheels does stand out as one of the best of the bunch your life is not complete until you’ve heard it in context, complete with Grand Parade, You Are My Joy, and all the rest.
Sorry to gush but I love that whole scottish indie gang (many of whom have once been on the Jeepster label), and the fact that Reindeer are a sort of bastard son of Belle & Sebastian/Snow Patrol/Arab Strap/Mogwai/Idlewild/etc makes them a bit of a favourite of mine.
