For those of you who didn’t realise, I’m no show jumping expert, but I do have a theory as to why Zara Phillips may have won BBC’s Sports Personality of the Year. Could it be that she bears a striking resemblance to Robbie Savage and all those people at home thought they were voting for the silky footed Blackburn midfielder?
If not, then it does make me worry over the British public’s ability to vote correctly. If we can’t be trusted with Sport’s Personality, are we really to be trusted to elect a parliament? Maybe democracy isn’t all that great after all. As I’ve said before, there’s nothing wrong with a dictatorship, it’s just a question of getting the right dictator.
If Leona doesn’t win X-Factor on Saturday, then we’re really in for it.
