I don’t agree with people looking down on pop music because it’s not cool or alternative enough for them, so I wouldn’t normally go along with this campaign. They are right though, UK Christmas Number 1’s are more often than not, awful. Forget the campaign, Lucky Soul’s, Lips Are Unhappy is a catchy song with great lyrics (they sound a lot like The Pipettes). I’ve pre ordered.

I started a project this weekend that is going to require a lot of glueing. Of course, before I started I read the instructions. It seems Pritt Craft Glue is ideal for, “paper, card, fabric, wood, pasta…”. Pasta? That can’t be good for your digestive system can it?

I know this is quite geeky, but there are certain web based menu systems that I find very relaxing. Not that they’re especially useful or usable, but I can happily spend time hovering over the items just to watch them change.

With this in mind, I tried to build a completely useless, but relaxing menu system for Flickr. It’s useless in that you can’t use it to do anything, but there is something about the way the pictures pulse and make piano sounds that could send me to sleep. It’s like interactive white noise.
