I was trying to work out how to make use of my Christmas lights. I’d like to have put them up in the kitchen as non-Christmas-specific Christmas lights (yes I know its a 2001 thing to do) but there really wasn’t anywhere suitable or that wasn’t a fire hazard. Then I saw these preserve jars in town and knew I could make use of one. It may not look like it, but there are 80 lights in there.

• Thanks! We don’t have anything as fancy as fireflies here. I think it needs more lights in, I think I have some stars somewhere that light up… I might see if I can fit them in too.

• Thanks Hanan. The only trouble is they gradually sink down to the bottom. I’ve got some more lights which would fill it better, but there’s too many to squash in. If I find the right lights, I think I could improve it.
